Coaches around the world from all niches often feel isolated and alone as they go about their business.  The IIC recognise this and have created a community for coaches, coaches in training and individuals interested in personal development, even corporations who appreciate true leadership qualities and the education that surrounds that topic.  The IIC is a  membership community supporting and expanding the professional image of coaching.

 

The IIC embraces technology brining its members from over 91 countries around the world closer together through the use of the Internet thus providing a whole network of support.  Coaches can mix easily with their peer forming lasting relationships, some even leading to joint ventures.

 

Accreditation is another option open to coaches who feel their careers would benefit from such an official recognition.

 

Life Coaching and Business Coaching is becoming increasingly more popular within corporations.  The IIC support both individual coaches and HR human resources departments and welcome memberships for such organisations.  Coaching is an international asset.

Wow, it’s been a great 12 months and as we approach the New Year the whole team at the IIC International Institute of Coaching are delighted with the progress we’ve made within the coaching community. New members are coming on board, accreditation awards are increasing, contributors are writing educational articles and experts are presenting webinars. It's been a busy and worthwhile 365 days.

We realise we wouldn’t be where we are today without your continued support. Special thanks to each and every one of you for your time and good wishes.

Do look out for the 2012 editions of the Newsletter arriving each month into your in-box with news about our accreditation service, membership to a world wide coaching community with many benefits also our webinar series and regular coach casts. Oh, and of course the numerous social media sites.

The IIC Welcomes New Head of International Team!

 

The IIC welcomes their new Head of the International Team, Barbra Rudmann.        

Barbra joined the IIC several months ago. She is an enthusiastic coach, currently working as a Shared Service Director at Johnson & Johnson d.o.o., responsible for the South East Europe region. Barbra has many years of experience as a senior manager and leader in several international companies. She is always keen on and dedicated to developing members of her team. She has a great interest in people and revealing their potential to help them grow and develop. Encouraged with coaching experiences and results achieved with her current team in Johnson & Johnson, she launched her coaching and consulting business in Slovenia with very ambitious plans for growth and expansion.

She has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. She studied coaching at Nobel Manhattan Coaching and one of her future plans is to become a strategic partner of Nobel Manhattan Coaching (an international coach training organization, headquartered in UK) for Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia.

IIC 2010 Coaching Achievement Awards

5 Weeks left to enter the IIC 2010 Coaching Achievement Awards!  

The Coaching Achievement Awards are coaching's most prestigious awards for coaching from the IIC for success and achievement through coaching. They are a means of recognizing and rewarding coaching excellence. Both Members and non-Members of the IIC may apply.

The IIC will run a publicity campaign after the Coaching Achievement Awards are awarded. The IIC will ensure that the national press of the country of each winner is included in this publicity campaign. Finalists will be celebrated at the next International IIC Conference, and win the right to use the Coaching Achievement Awards logo on their web-site, stationery and literature as a mark of their coaching excellence.

Newsflash! New Video Content Coming to the IIC!

New Video Content Coming to the IIC!

The IIC will be releasing new video content soon, to be available from a variety of online platforms. Over the past year, the International Institute of Coaching has been hard at work releasing promotional videos and downloadable Webinar videos through their homepage.

Recently, they've also launched a new, "lite" version of their homepage: http://internationalcoaching.org/

Coming soon though, will be a whole new way to become involved in the international coaching community.

IIC Broadcasts will be short, 2-5 minute long videos hosted on Youtube. They'll feature facts, figures, news, and even interviews, all about the international coaching community. These have already started being released, beginning with contributions from IIC Board Member, Newsletter Editor, and Author PaTrisha-Anne Todd.

IIC Coachcasts are a whole new way to increase your coaching skills. Focused around skill-building and coaching education, IIC Coachcasts will be 30-60 minutes in length. These videos will be only available as downloads, allowing them to be watched any number of times, at the viewers leisure. Members of the International Institute of Coaching will be able to download these videos for free.

IIC Webinars will become active again, being presented live, though the online webinar platform GoTo Webinar. After the live Webinars take place, Members of the IIC will be able to download them for free. They'll be downloadable in the same format as the IIC Coachcasts, and will be watchable at any time.

IIC Country-Specific Pages on Facebook!

IIC Country-Specific Pages on Facebook!  

Becoming available soon, will be IIC country-specific Pages on Facebook. Each page will pertain to a specific country involved with the International Institute of Coaching. Each will be managed by the prospective Country Head.

What does this mean for the International Institute of Coaching online community? In addition to the International Institute of Coaching's Page on Facebook, there will be other Pages created that are country-specific. 

Each Page will also be maintained in each Country's specific language. Wall posts and updates will be published by the IIC Country Heads. This is another new, and exciting way that the International Institute of Coaching is reaching out to its online community.

At the IIC, coach to coach communication is as important to coach to client communication. The IIC has taken great strides in making this an easier possibility, and with country-specific Pages on Facebook, the IIC hopes to make it even easier.

IIC Newsletter Team Member to Run in Great North Run 2010

IIC Newsletter Team Member to Run in Great North Run 2010  

The Bupa Great North Run is the world's biggest half marathon. It will take place on Sunday, 19th of September, 2010. It consists of 54,000 runners running for charity.

The International Institute of Coaching's own Dawn Campbell has been selected to be one of the runners in this race. She will be running to benefit the British Heart Foundation. Dawn has been Newsletter Editor for the International Institute of Coaching and now work on the CIU IIC Newsletter team.

Here is an excerpt from Dawn's blog, Dawn Campbell Holistic Health, about her admission to the race:

"Earlier this year my husband Robert kept mentioning we should enter for the Great North Run. To appease him more than anything, I yes, go ahead apply never really believing we’d get selected. After all,50,000+ people run this popular event every year, so I figured our chances of getting selected were pretty low. Anyway, it was months and months away, so I didn’t give it much thought.

Lo and behold, mid June we heard we’d got selected by the British Heart Foundation. You can just imagine my joy and excitement can’t you. I’m a fair weather girl by nature so the timing was perfect. However, time management was an issue. I normally have to be prised out of my office and away from my computer so fitting training into my daily schedule wasn’t something I looked forward to, especially as I hated exercise anyway.

...

So, four weeks ago I really wasn’t sure I could possibly do this. The truth of the matter was, I didn’t really desire to do it and I had limited belief to boot. Three weeks ago things weren’t much better. I hated finding the time to train (preferring not to change my routine) so spent lots of energy resisting any attempts to get me out on the road by my Robert and son Chris who are both keen joggers.

Two weeks ago, there was a slight shift in my attitude as I got more mentally and physically prepared. Throw a few bonuses into the equation (like dropping a few pounds in weight; sleeping better etc.)and hey presto, I think there’s a runner lurking inside me.

Consequently last week was quite a different story. I’m amazed tosay I’m actually starting to enjoy it. I actually got out there and ranof my own volition. What’s changed? I’m still wearing the samerunning gear (oh alright, jogging gear), I’m still pounding the sameroads but something has definitely changed.

Firstly, my belief, I concluded if thousands of people do this, then so can I. Also, my desire to succeed kicked in, proof that action breeds motivation. Now I’m not kidding myself that I’m going run it in a news worthy way, but I now know and feel because I’m prepared that as long as I keep working at it, I’ll be ok. "

 The IIC is seeking qualified members to join the exciting Webinar Team!

 Your Role:

 As you know the IIC has been conducted Free webinars for the past year and
 a half.

The Webinars are great vehicles for learning and sharing.  Your role
includes:

1.    Working with the Webinar Team to select the Speakers.

2.    Contacting the Speakers to ensure that we have received all of their
       materials.

3.    Taking turns hosting the Webinars.

4.    Sending Thank You Notes to the Presenters.

5.    Liaising with the Webinar Team members to continually improve the
       program.

 Minimum Qualifications required:

You are required to be an IIC member in good standing either as an
Accredited Coach or Associate Member.

 IIC Offering Downloadable Webinar Series This Summer!

Within the past months, the International Institute of Coaching has been working hard to update many of the services and features they provide. Downloadable Webinars has been one system the International Institute of Coaching has been working hard to put into place.

Coming in mid-August, the IIC will be providing it’s first batch of downloadable Webinars. It will be a series of 5 Webinar videos focused around skill-building in the coaching world and community. Members of the IIC will be offered the entire package of 5 Webinar videos for free. Members will be able to download the series and watch each individual video at their leisure. Non-members will be able to obtain the video series by donating a nominal fee to the International Institute of Coaching.

The Topics of the International Institute of Coaching’s Summer Skill-Building Webinar Series are as follows:

- Keys to Positive Thinking
- Time Management and Reducing Stress
- Motivation and Motivating Others
- Winning and Succeeding without Trading Others in the Process
- Team Coaching for People Managers and Dynamic Workplace Changes

Each Webinar Video will be presented by a different Noble Manhattan affiliated coach. A bit under an hour a piece, this series of Webinar videos should prove to hold over two and a half hours of exciting educational material.
