Today is the opening of something very unique in Australia. It's the Australia 2020 Summit - Setting our nation's sights for the future.
This is a unique event hosted by our new Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, and it's quite a remarkable concept. Essentially, he has invited 1000 people to come together and come up with ideas about how our country needs to be governed moving forward. These ideas are to support our core values of security, liberty, opportunity, creativity, equity, family, community, solidarity, sustainability and irreducible human dignity.
I won't go into great detail here about the summit, but I would like to highlight that each of the numerous sub-groups at the conference need to come up with three extraordinary ideas, one of which must cost nothing to implement. What a remarkable structure!
Now, we won't know how well this submit has achieved its objectives for a bit of time to come. Nevertheless, I'm using today's blog to celebrate the uniqueness of this idea for modern humanitarianism and government.

2. What ideas do you have which cost nothing to implement, and how would you implement them?
3. Who could you be communicating your ideas to?
4. Who could you be inspiring to do the same?
All the best,
