Every day, without fail, I do a Su Doku puzzle. I have friends and family, of all ages, who do crosswords and other sorts of puzzles, games and exercises.
I think we all do it because it's enjoyable at some level for us.
It also happens to be great exercise.
There are various studies available in an Internet search which make claims about how important it is to do mental exercises like these on a daily basis to keep our mind "worked out" just like we might for our physical health.
(To be honest, I'm more consistent at keeping up the mental exercise regime than I am the physical one.)
Here are today's coaching questions:
Coaching Exercises
1. How do you exercise your mind? What exercises do you do and how often?
2. Do you ever increase the exercises, over time, to raise the bar on your mental agility? It's kind of like someone lifting weights and increasing the load, or for endurance and trying to go farther than you have before. What do you do?
3. If you feel there is an opportunity to exercise your mind more, what options do you believe are available and attractive to you?
4. What are you committing to?
As always, if you need any further personal support in response to any of these coaching exercises, please consider using the askacoach.com service.
All the best,
Noel
