Last night my partner and I had dinner at the home of a long-time friend and we met their amazing children who are quite the performers! Actually, that's an understatement. I don't have the words to describe the talent as it just blows me away that these young people are so talented, confident and are such wonderful kids.
Here's a video of Jo Jo Lightning doing a guitar solo. He's eleven! Regardless of whether you are a fan of this type of music, this video is worth watching to just experience the talent, dexterity, speed, passion this young man has when caught up in the rapture of the music he makes. Did I mention he's eleven?
While you're on that YouTube page, also check out the video of Jo Jo Lightning and the Rockets, which includes his sister (she is seven!) on as lead singer! Her stage name is Rosie Maria Flower. This was filmed at a festival in Amsterdam where the kids were born and raised before just recently moving back to Australia.
My partner and I feel so fortunate to know these young people and their extraordinary parents. And we're even luckier because the kids have agreed to perform at a party we're throwing in a few weeks.
Aren't young people just amazing?

2. How do you support, encourage and/or inspire young people?
3. If you felt you could do more to support the development of young people, either directly or indirectly, what do you see as the options?
4. As a result of these questions and your considered responses to them, what are you committing to?
As always, if you need any further personal support in response to any of these coaching exercises, please consider using the askacoach.com service.
