I'm about to do something very interesting today - speed coaching.
What is speed coaching, you ask?
Well, a group of 40 other coaches and myself will each host a table at a bit national conference for a really big organisation here in Australia. Each of the coaches will have a topic to discuss/coach on for 25 minutes. Every 25 minutes, we get a new group of people at our table. We repeat this three times.
Essentially over 400 people will be able to participate in quick group coaching on three topics as part of their conference.
The opportunity for each of us coaches is to help a large number of people in a short amount of time, and also to establish some new relationships on the way.
In tomorrow's blog, I'll tell you how it went.
Coaching Exercises
1. What are three hot topics you'd like to get some quick coaching on if only 25 minutes per topic?
2. What would you need to do to be really focused during the coaching to get the most out of the short amount of time?
3. If you didn't get everything you wanted/needed in the short amount of time, what follow-up options would exist that you could explore?
4. As a result of these questions and your considered responses to them, what are you committing to?
