The IIC Revamp Their Webinar Services Within the past three months, the International Institute of Coaching has been working hard to update many of the services and features they provide. Live Webinar events are one of the services that the International Institute of Coaching provides to the international coaching community. These events are informative and are an excellent way to boost your coaching and business knowledge. The live Webinar events also only last one and one half hour, an easy amount of time to fit into a busy work week. In the past, the International Institute of Coaching has used Presenternet to host their live Webinars. It proved useful as a way to host the slides needed for a Webinar online, but attendees still had to call in on a conference line. This was an unwanted personal expense for some attendees, especially due to long distance rates. Thankfully, over the past few years, telecommunications and voice-over IP calling has become easier for the average person to access and use. Voice-over IP calling, or VoIP, is a simple way to make phone calls and communicate with people in any country, through your own home computer and internet. Services like Skype have really brought VoIP into the mainstream. So it only made sense to transition away from Presenternet and costly phone charges. After various trials and tests, the International Institute of Coaching decided to make the change to GoTo Webinar. The IIC realized that with the increase in Skype users, and the totally free aspect of VoIP calling, this was a perfect fit. Using GoTo Webinar couldn't be easier. All attendees have to do is join in, then listen and watch the slides through their computer. No phone calls, no conference lines. The presenter broadcasts their slides directly from their desktop to yours. All you need is a computer and a Skype headset. Or, just speakers if you don't wish to speak. There's even a built in chat, and question and answer system for attendees that don't have microphones. The International Institute of Coaching held it's first GoTo Webinar event last month on May 18th. It was a tremendous success and the IIC is happy to have taken the time to make the change. The initial focus was on life coaching but this was quickly changed to embrace all areas of coaching, including Business, Executive, and Corporate of coaching.
